I’ve been taking ADHD medication (Vyvanse) for years, and one of the first things I noticed was how important it became to stay on top of my daily hydration. I found myself drinking water constantly, but it never quite felt like I was getting what I needed — so like many people, I turned to electrolytes.

But there was one issue: almost every electrolyte drink I found contained citric acid, ascorbic acid, malic acid or acid salts. That’s just the standard way most formulas are built. Acids are inexpensive, widely used and give that tart sports-drink flavour most people recognise.
